Another thing I did in July when I wasn’t blogging was going to my local fair. I went 2 days; the first day to ride rides all day. We (my brothers and I) got rained out in the morning when we went, but my one brother and I went back when the rain stopped. The youngest 2 didn’t want to go back, so they stayed home. While there, I bought a frozen cheesecake on a stick, a steak, and rice bowl, which I shared with my brothers and fried dough, which I tried not to share.
The second day, I went just to see all of the free exhibits. First that day, I went to the movies to see Insidious Chapter 5, which was a bit scary, but it was a great movie with an interesting ending. Afterward, I went to the fair and saw a free wolf show, a free local country duo. I also went in the arena to view the art contest exhibits. I had a bit of money left from the first day, so I bought a small trinket from the merchants and a pack of pokemon cards for a dollar. I had a lot of fun both days even though I didn’t have as much money as I would have liked to have.
Some time later that month, my family and I went to a local water park that had a few dry rides. We left early in the morning and stayed all day. I didn’t take too many pictures there because I didn’t want my phone to get wet, but I did have a lot of fun and I was living in the moment. There was one water slide that dropped me right straight down. I rode it as a kid and was terrified, but it is much less scary as an adult.
There is still an adrenaline rush, though! While there, my family and I rode on one slide together in one raft, which was fun, but my youngest brother got really scared. We also all went in the wave pool together, which was fun, but my mom had to save a little girl from drowning because no one else noticed.
I had a lot of fun all three of these days, especially the times I was spending with my family.
