Temporary changes to the site

Update time: This is a different update than usual.
I am posting to let all of you know that the domain name of this site may temporarily change for like a day or so.
I am up for domain renewal
tomorrow and I lost my bank card over the weekend.
I can't use my account until I get my new bank card so I will have to wait until it comes in to renew. Please bear with me while this brief change occurs.

Zoo and science exhibit

One place I went to this summer is a place I have been going to a lot since I got my membership last winter is my local zoo/ conservatory.

Ok, so I’ve already shown you all zoo pictures before, and not all of the animals were out this time. Because of that, I didn’t take very many pictures or videos of the zoo exhibits.

There has been, however, the addition of some of the most popular exhibits from a local science museum that had to shut down at its actual location due to damages to the building. I did take many pictures and videos of them, and I am putting some of them up here for anyone who may be interested.

County fair and Amusment Park

Another thing I did in July when I wasn’t blogging was going to my local fair. I went 2 days; the first day to ride rides all day. We (my brothers and I) got rained out in the morning when we went, but my one brother and I went back when the rain stopped. The youngest 2 didn’t want to go back, so they stayed home. While there, I bought a frozen cheesecake on a stick, a steak, and rice bowl, which I shared with my brothers and fried dough, which I tried not to share.

The second day, I went just to see all of the free exhibits. First that day, I went to the movies to see Insidious Chapter 5, which was a bit scary, but it was a great movie with an interesting ending. Afterward, I went to the fair and saw a free wolf show, a free local country duo. I also went in the arena to view the art contest exhibits. I had a bit of money left from the first day, so I bought a small trinket from the merchants and a pack of pokemon cards for a dollar. I had a lot of fun both days even though I didn’t have as much money as I would have liked to have.

Some time later that month, my family and I went to a local water park that had a few dry rides. We left early in the morning and stayed all day. I didn’t take too many pictures there because I didn’t want my phone to get wet, but I did have a lot of fun and I was living in the moment. There was one water slide that dropped me right straight down. I rode it as a kid and was terrified, but it is much less scary as an adult.

There is still an adrenaline rush, though! While there, my family and I rode on one slide together in one raft, which was fun, but my youngest brother got really scared. We also all went in the wave pool together, which was fun, but my mom had to save a little girl from drowning because no one else noticed.

I had a lot of fun all three of these days, especially the times I was spending with my family.

How I started My July

This year, I missed out on going to the fireworks that I go to every year, but I was able to see them from my window, and my family did some of our own (safely). So I didn’t totally miss out. I just didn’t get any photo worthy moments during all of it. It was nice just living in the moment, though.

One event I did get pictures for was the start of my town’s farmer’s market. I thoroughly enjoyed going to each of the vendors and trying new things (like strawberry banana jelly), finding out about community resources, and getting some walking in on a very nice summer day.

I hope…

You’ve enjoyed this first part of how I’ve spent my July. It isn’t too exciting, but not every moment of a vacation has to be packed with action to be enjoyable. I was able to support my community, get high-quality goods, and enjoy a nice summer day out in my community.

My life has been so full of the wrong kind of action and traumatic situations that taking time to enjoy the little things is a nice change of pace.

I would probably open…

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

A record/ music shop or a book store.

I remember a store called borders back when online shopping wasn’t really that big yet, and more people went to brick and mortar (physical) stores. I used to go there every weekend as a young teen and listen to music samples, read books, and occasionally buy stuff when I had enough allowance.

I had some good memories there, and I would want to give someone else a chance to have good memories in my store, too.
